DER OTT®

Our secret favorite. SINCE 1997.

A cuvée from the young vines of our four 1ÖTW Erste Lagen: Spiegel, Stein, Rosenberg, and Kirchthal. Youthful, refined elegance, as well as complexity and depth owed to the terroir. Alongside Am Berg® and Fass 4®, the third in the trio — bringing together the best of both regions.

A new level of quality.

Once a local wine from Feuersbrunn, we elevated DER OTT® to the quality level of single-vineyard wines with the 2019 vintage. Since the 2019 vintage, the grapes have been aged in large oak casks, and since 2021, they have been 100% basket-pressed. Complex, substantial, and unmistakably us: Full of character and stubbornly committed to quality.

HARVEST & VINIFICATION

100% hand-picked. Spontaneous fermentation. Slowly and gently pressed using a basket press. Aged on the full lees in Stockinger oak casts until July and bottled in August.

ORIGIN

From the young vines of our 1ÖTW Erste Lage vineyards. Exposed south-facing slopes in the Wagram and Kamptal. Primary rock and several meters of loess. 10-35 year old vines.

DER OTT® – our secret favorite since 1997: from the young vineyards of the 1ÖTW Erste Lage KIRCHTHAL SPIEGEL, STEIN & ROSENBERG.
